Switching Milk Formula – From Other Brands to Morinaga Milk Formula

When our little ones have an issue with their milk formula, a change of milk formula becomes necessary. This tends to cause anxiety among parents due to the transition over to the new formula. In fact, parents should not be too worried about switching their existing milk formula because it is not harmful towards children at all. The rule of thumb is that the chosen milk formula should be friendly to their digestive system and follow the respective feeding guidelines of Morinaga Milk Formula.

Being the second largest dairy product company in Japan with over 100 years of experience, Morinaga Milk Formula is a Japanese formula which is high in nutrients and it is imported from Netherlands. It is produced using “Granulation Technology” so that the formula can dissolve easily, thus making it easier to digest.

The following simple feeding plan relates to switching from other brands to Morinaga Milk Formula. The entire transition will take up to one week or sometimes a bit longer, as the pace will depend on how fast your little ones accept the new milk formula.

During the transition, parents are advised to monitor your children’s bowel movements and urine frequency. You can expect some change in their stool, either becoming softer or a bit firmer, but it should not be dry and solid, or watery-like.

As for urination frequency, they should have at least 6 wet nappies in a day, which should be soaked and contain pale or colourless urine. If the urine is yellow, you should check the feeding instructions on the tin again to ensure the Morinaga Milk Formula and water ratio is correct.

If you have any concerns around their bowel movements and urination frequency, speak to your doctor or call Morinaga Milk Malaysia careline at 03-7982 5299, every Monday-Friday excluding Public Holidays, from 8.30am to 5.30pm.
